Cascarilla – Originally considered the most popular natural remedy for malaria during hundreds of years due to a chemical compound it contains called quinine. Cascarilla is now primarily utilized to address fevers and digestive disorders. Quinovin, a chemical compound in Cascarilla is known to promote the release of digestive secretions making it optimal to address intestinal discomfort and assist with proper break down of food. In spiritual practices, the natives of the Andes and Amazon would burn it, as it was believed to provide purification and protection.
Cat’s Claw – Many people throughout the Amazon region consider this bark an all-purpose herb due to its potency in addressing a large variety of chronic ailments from gastritis to cancer. Several studies indicate Cat’s Claws effectiveness in combating pathogens, parasitic infections, tumors, cancer, candida and other yeast infections. Clinical research also demonstrates how Cat’s Claw promotes lymphatic drainage while also strengthening the immune system. Other benefits seen in studies include joint pain relief, menstrual support, and stamina enhancement.
Amaru Kaspi – Also known in the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador as Palo de Anaconda, Amaru Kaspi is a bitter bark recognized for providing digestive support due to its laxative and astringent properties. It is commonly used in the Amazon region to reduce inflammation, relieve body pain, and eliminate parasites.
