    Herb Details

Here are some ways each of these herbs have been used by indigenous communities of the Amazon and Andean region of South America, as well as what scientific research has found:⁣

Ajo de Monte – A wild alkaline herb from the Amazon Rainforest which contains natural relaxant and sedative properties. Many natives of the Amazon have traditionally used it as a natural muscle and joint pain reliever. It is also utilized in “dietas” or strict dietary regimens before receiving Ayahuasca, as Ajo de Monte is known to ground, relax, and soothe nervous system functions. Clinical studies show Ajo de Monte contains anti-parasitic and mood enhancing properties, assists with headache relief, and may help with stress management. ⁣

Valerian Root – Found in the Andean region of South America, it is easily identified due to its intense odor. Studies show Valerian Root to be a potent sleep enhancer and is commonly used to address migraines, insomnia and neurological dysfunctions. Clinical trials have also proven Valerian Root may benefit women with frequent menstrual pain and menopausal symptoms due to its natural relaxant and analgesic properties. ⁣

Lemon Balm – An alkaline herb from the Andes Mountains which is known to address digestive discomfort and cognitive health conditions. Several studies show that Lemon Balm, also known in Ecuador as Toronjil, contains properties which may improve memory, mental alertness, hormonal balance, thyroid regulation and serve as a natural anti-depressant. ⁣

Together, the properties in these three herbs may help address thyroid and hormonal imbalances, body aches, brain-related disorders, PMS, stress, insomnia, indigestion, irregular heart palpitation, diabetes, and more.⁣
