Herb Details
Chuchuhuasi is a wild native and alkaline bark that comes from a canopy tree that grows in the Amazon Rainforest of South America. Many shamans use Chuchuhuasi as a nourishment aid to support people who are preparing for an Ayahuasca ceremony to get through the challenges of a “dieta,” which is the dietary regimen one must assume in preparation to receive Ayahuasca.
This herbal supplement's most common uses amongst the native people of the Amazon is as a natural pain reliever, specifically rheumatism-related diseases. It is also well known for its ability to increase circulation to the reproductive organs and address sexual impotence, as well as regulate menstrual disorders amongst the indigenous people.

How is it used?
Traditionally it is used as a tincture. Many shamans allow the bark to soak in water for several hours or even days to extract the most properties from it or in cane alcohol in the form of a tincture. You can also prepare it on the stove as a tea as well.

Oxygen will degrade herbs over time, so storing your herbs in a glass jar or food-safe bag kept in a cool dark area is best.
